The Design Company is proud to support the development of the Riccarton Hub Community website. We worked with the Oak Development Trust to develop The Riccarton Community Hub to provide information about Riccarton and help people find out what is going on and what services are available in their neighbourhood.
The website includes a directory for churches, schools, health, recreation and community organisations in the Riccarton area. It also has an event calendar and a latest news section.
There are facilities to contribute news articles, directory listings and upcoming events.
During the last 16 months Chris Brown and The Design Company have been hosting our ageing ecommerce website, our email provider and operated our AdWords/newsletter campaigns plus being on call for any problems we may have caused due to us being non-technical-wizards.
Late 2016 we asked Chris if he would re-design the Cartridge Refills website to be a modern, responsive, mobile/tablet friendly Online shop with over 900 products, a custom product filter for easy cartridge selection and all necessary “bells and whistles”.
Title tags are used to tell search engines and visitors what any given page on your site is about in the most concise and accurate way possible.
The closer to the start of the title tag a keyword is, the more likely it will be used to rank for that keyword based query.
The meta description is a ~160 character snippet, or a tag in HTML, that summarises a page’s content. Search engines show the meta description in the search results and so this becomes a mini advert. Its main purpose is to get the visitor from Google to click your link. Although Google doesn’t use it to rank your page, Google does use click-through rates as part of their ranking algorithm and so having a relevant meta description does indirectly effect your page ranking.
The new New Zealand Billiards & Snooker Association website is now launched. The main challenge was managing the large amount of archived data going back to the year 2000. We have been able to achieve a well organised site that is easy to update and can be mostly managed by volunteers within the organisation.
The new website can now be viewed on mobile devices and so is much more accessible and easy to navigate.
The new Cartridge Refills ecommerce site was launched after a couple of months of planning, development and refining. The final product is a very user-friendly site that works well on all devices from mobile phones to desktop computers.
With over 750 products it was important to create a filtering system that was intuitive and easy to use. The site features:
The site also has a powerful admin for managing orders and products.
